Melkens POOmba

Moomba is designed to keep your barn clean throughout the day. It works automatically and is suitable for every type of barn flooring. The key feature of Moomba is that it does not just scrape the manure off your barn floor, it collects it and reloactes it to a discharge point where it stores the collected manure.

Moomba cleans up various types of manure:

- For straw up to 6cm long (up to 2kg a daily)

- Sawdust (no limit)

- Chopped straw (up to 2kg a daily)

- Separated manure  (up to 5 litres daily)

Moomba moves off from the charging station which can conveniently be placed either inside or outside the barn for efficient storage. The robot is kept on the move with the help of a set of transponders installed into the floors of your barn which do not hinder other movements in the barn. The robot’s trajectory/route is programmed by the user with a push of a button. The robot is engineered to manouvre and safely return back to the charging station when instructed to. Moomba utilizes a hypoid drive system which efficiently works to serve its purpose. Its robust structure allows for easy use and easy maintencance.

Even though the Moomba is highly versatile when it comes to barn flooring, the condition, type of flooring and type of manure all directly effect the efficiency of the manure robot. The best results are seen on continuous solid barn floors. In order for the cows to avoid the MOOmba, adequate amount of space should be available in the barn so the robot can clean your barn without disturbing your cows.

Necessary clearences:

- ~70 cm headroom for the manure robot

- box edge should be 10-15cm high and obstacle-free.

Moomba autonomously navigates through the barn without hindering the movement of the cows. With it's speed restricted to 6 m/min, the cows have enogu time to avoid the robot and track it's movements in the barn. Just like the MOOver, it is possible to set up an unlimited mumber of routes for the MOOmba to navigate through. MOOmba works round the clock non-stop with the help of the designated charging station which keeps the robot charged uo after every run as it returns to the charging station automatically.

Route Manager:

The Moomba is a smart robot designed to be confugured with multiple schedule settings in the following ways:

- Time based cleaning: prepone or postpone schedule - Docking: Regular intervals of docking during feeding

- Start-Stop function

- Reboot/ Moo-again: The route restarts without docking

Melkens Management System (MMS):

Moomba is operated via the Melkens application which recieves data through the Melkens Management System (MMS). The Melkens application enables the farmer to keep track of the robot remotely and make any sudden changes to the scheduling function. The app is designed to notify the user if any technicality issues occur, if the robot is required to go back to the charging station, or if the robot requires servicing.
